Ladies and gentlemen,
In a matter of seven days, Caroline and I (Blake) will be taking off on our first BIG adventure together. With me' lady by my side, we will take the delightfully quick 14 hour flight to New Zealand, traveling roughly north to south through January. Are we Excited? Of course. Eager? A bit. Scared? Maybe a little... The mix of emotions is vast, but the prospect of adventure, travel, relationships and discovery keeps me up at night.
While I wish everything was ready, that would be far too good to be true. I am applying for the Masters in exercise physiology program at the University of Utah, attempting to write my personal statement while searching for various topics from cell phones to backpacking (known as tramping in NZ) routes distract me.
Caroline is busy spending as much time as possible here in Boise with her family. The number of games of Settlers of Catan played is somehow still too few.
As the days progress I am sure that the frenzy to cancel phone plans, check our packing lists, and see loved ones will pick up. So check in from time to time to see what we've been up to.
